The all-female Krewe of Aquarius celebrates its 19th anniversary when it parades at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 2 along the traditional west-Houma parade route.
This year the krewe takes on the theme, ?Las Vegas Shows? with its 17-float parade.
Along with the traditional floats, the krewe?s parade also plans on featuring the marching bands of Houma Junior High School, Grand Caillou Middle School and Terrebonne High School.
The 295-plus-member krewe?s tableau is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.
Reigning over Aquarius this year is Queen Aquarius XIX Trudy Turner.
Captain of the parade is Cheryl LeBlanc.
Serving as maids are Amy Melancon, Susan Landry and Tammy Malbrough.
Pages for Aquarius are Ronae Thomas, Ja?nae Antoine, Lijah Hanzy and Michelle Turner.
